We like this selection as it flowers later in the season, when it is actually nice to be out in the garden. Tough as nails, this plant requires little input. We have it sited where it gets a good amount of sun, is in decent soil and gets the occasional supplemental watering.
Well behaved, the plant will clump up without (so far) ever seeding in, which cannot be said for all species of Allium.
The flower heads, as they age, are graceful – until our late autumn rains turns them into mush.
