Aster 'Little Carlow'

Station 10 - Path from Tennis Court to Ed's Perennial Border

This aster has long been one of our favorites. Masses of small, deep violet blue flowers cover the plant for several months, starting in late summer. While some websites purport this plant to be shorter, in our maritime influenced climate, we've found it to get at least 4' to 5' tall. Pretty much rain proof, it does need staking to prevent the dreaded belly flop, which occurs before a big garden tour/event/fundraiser. Clump forming.
