Epimedium x. versicolor 'Sulphureum' is one of the many hybrid forms of epimedium available on the market. Soft yellow flowers in the spring with beautiful newly emergent foliage. The striking two tone effect does not last, with summer the leaves turn green. Very tough and adaptable, drought tolerant in shaded to partly shaded conditions when established, this genus is one of our favorites for ground cover in difficult areas. We are slowly planting new varieties of epimediums through various parts of the garden. Many of the newer forms have very interesting two toned foliage in the spring and flower color can range from white to purple to red to orange.
