DUNN GARDENS ENDOWMENT

The Dunn Gardens Endowment was established in 1993 with a gift of $275,000 from the ten nieces and nephews of Edward B. Dunn. Their goal was simple and far-sighted: to help ensure that Dunn Gardens would be cared for and enjoyed by future generations.

Today, the endowment is invested and held in trust by the Seattle Foundation and has grown to more than $4 million. Its annual distributions now support approximately one-third of Dunn Gardens’ operating expenses, providing a vital source of long-term financial stability.

The endowment allows us to focus on what matters most: preserving this remarkable landscape, welcoming the public, and fulfilling our mission for generations to come.
