Playing with Plants Workshop
April 23 @ 10:00 am

Tickets will go on sale: March 3
Instructor: Erin Cox
Erin created this workshop because she wanted a beginner project that let you get to know as many different locally available plants as she could. From soft fibers like daylily and Siberian iris to willow and cedar bark. Every vessel is unique because each student will find a special way to weave it all together.
You’ll create a one-of-a-kind woven glass vessel for your home – or to give as a gift. We’ll create a simple starburst willow bark bottom and work our way up exploring flexible leaves and stems and use willow, maple and cedar bark for plaited contrast.
All workshop materials have been harvest by hand sustainably and responsibly from here in the Puget Sound.
This workshop is a great introduction to the weaving skills of twining, plaiting, and weaving on a form.
